Public Housing is housing that is located in Concord and is owned and managed by the Concord Housing Authority.

The Town of Concord is located approximately 20 miles west of Boston. It is a safe and welcoming community; rich in history with a vibrant town center, an excellent school system, miles of walking trails, open space, and quality town services that make Concord the ideal community to raise your family. There is commuter rail service to Boston.

All veterans applying for state programs and any applicant living or working in Concord will receive a local preference however we encourage all applicants to apply.

Developments

State Elderly Housing

Peter Bulkeley Terrace (PBT) and Everett Gardens

Both developments are conveniently located a quarter of a mile from the town center within walking distance to library, shops and commuter rail.

PBT is a three story building with an elevator. There are 28 units (6 handicapped accessible)-PBT offers onsite laundry and central air.

The tenant will pay 25% of their adjusted gross income. The tenant pays electricity.

Everett Gardens are town house style apartments. There are 52 units (1 handicapped accessible) Each unit has a shared porch. The tenant will pay 30% of their adjusted gross income. All utilities are included.

Both developments are wired for telephone and cable (optional), offer assigned parking for one vehicle and have access to a community room.

State Family Housing

The CHA owns 28 units of State Family Housing.

18- 3 bedroom units- 3 handicapped accessible

8-2 bedroom- 1 handicapped accessible

These units vary in style. Some are townhouses in small developments, others are apartments located in multi-family homes in established neighborhoods or condo units in private condo developments.

The rents range from 27%-32% of adjusted gross income, depending on what utilities are included in the rent.

Project Based Voucher Program

The CHA owns and manages 18 units of Scattered Federal family housing
1- 1 bedroom unit
5- 2 bedroom units
11- 3 bedroom units- 1 handicapped accessible
1- 3 bedroom- 1 handicapped accessible
These units vary in style. Some are townhouses in small developments, others are apartments located in multi-family homes in established neighborhoods, condo units in private condo developments and single family homes.
The rent is based on 30% of adjusted gross income.

Local Units

Local units are units that are owned by the Concord Housing Authority. The rent for these units are established by LIP guidelines (1 bdrms) and current HUD Fair Market Rents (2 & 3 bdrms) for the Metropolitan Boston area. These units participate on a lottery process.
